Our Journey

El Conecte began with a connection—to Guatemala, to its people, and to the remarkable products grown there.
What started with coffee grew into years of learning across coffee, cacao, cardamom, and the agricultural communities and businesses behind them.
Along the way, we built relationships at origin, learned what it takes to preserve quality from source to market, and discovered that our purpose was bigger than any one product.

Today, El Conecte Trade is the evolution of that journey: connecting exceptional products and trusted partners in Latin America with the people and businesses that value them in the United States.

This is more than trade. It’s the connection between origin and opportunity.

Our Fundamentals

Positive Economic Impact

Trade should create opportunity on both sides of the connection.
We value closer producer relationships, timely and responsible commercial practices and supply chains that allow more knowledge, work and economic activity to remain at origin whenever possible.
When you purchase El Conecte, you are supporting the growth and development of the local producing community. They get paid every step of the way

Highest in Quality

Quality begins long before a product reaches our warehouse.
We look for products that stand apart at origin and work with partners who understand the care required to preserve that quality.
Quality worth preserving. Exceptional products deserve to arrive at market with the qualities that made them exceptional at origin.

Direct & Connected

We believe knowing the people behind a product changes the way you understand it.
Our work is built around closer relationships, direct communication and traceable supply chains.
Origin Matters. Where a product comes from—and who produces it—matters.

Minimal Environmental Impact

We seek better ways to source, process, move and distribute products while supporting responsible practices throughout the supply chain.
We prefer specific, measurable practices over broad sustainability claims.

Traceability & Transparency

We work directly with Guatemalan producers and processors, their families and co-ops. We conduct on-site quality control inspections at each step of the way to ensure a premium and consistent product.
Customers should understand what they are buying, where it came from and how it reached them.

Trade That Creates Opportunity

Trade should create value from origin through final market.
